Who's responsible
Quorum is run by Anthony Fararoni, an individual based in Mexico, who is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@quorum.camp.
What we collect
- Sign-in details. Your email address and sign-in account, from Google or an email link. We never see or store a password.
- Your profile. The name you choose, your flame color, your photo if you add one, your time zone, your quiet hours, and when you accepted these policies.
- What you do at a fire. Your status, plans and answers, polls, reactions, phrases, tasks, games and their scores, and invites.
- Devices. The push address your browser gives us, so we can send you notifications, and when it was added.
- Technical records. Server logs with your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used to keep Quorum running and stop abuse.
- Support. Anything you send to our support address.
- Payments, if you subscribe. Paddle takes your payment and holds your card details. We never see them. We receive your subscription status and the email and country on the order.
Why we use it
- To run Quorum for you and the friends at your fires. This is needed for the service you asked for.
- To keep Quorum safe, working and free of abuse. This is our legitimate interest.
- To handle subscriptions, refunds and legal duties.
We don't sell your data. Quorum has no ads, no advertising cookies and no analytics trackers. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who can see it
People at your fires see your name, photo, flame color, status and what you share there. Some tasks can be limited to the people named on them.
We use these providers to run Quorum, and they handle data for us:
- Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, database, sign-in and server logs, in the United States.
- Cloudflare: our domain name and the forwarding of support email.
- Paddle: payments, tax and subscription billing, as Merchant of Record.
- Your browser's push service, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla: delivering notifications.
Your data may be stored in the United States and other countries where these providers work. We may also share data if the law requires it or to protect people's safety.
If someone at a fire adds a Discord link, or you open our Ko-fi page, those services have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Reactions, syncs and toss-ups: about a day.
- Games: about three days after the last move.
- Your profile, fires, plans and tasks: until they're finished or removed, or you delete your account.
- Server logs: about 30 days.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Cookies and browser storage
Quorum uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as sound and animations, and Google sign-in may set the cookies it needs to work. We don't use them for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Mexican law calls these ARCO rights, and the laws of the EU, UK and other places give similar ones. Write to support@quorum.camp and we'll answer within the time the law sets. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
You can delete your account yourself in the account sheet. That removes your profile, photo and sign-in account and takes you off your fires. A fire you keep passes to the longest-seated friend, or is put out if nobody else is there.
Age
Quorum is for people aged 16 and over. If you believe someone younger has an account, tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
